I am trying to put together this website that I was monitoring using the latest browsers, IE included and everything looked fine until some friends told me that on IE6 it had many white bars and spaces, so removed IE7 from my puter to check it against IE6 and yup, it looks weird but I dont know where to start.
I have uploaded a colored background version (www.sevillanaimports.com/css/test.htm) to better address the issues, I see two vertical white bars to the sides of the center containers which I know are causing the trouble. I am still trying to search for a fix but still can't get it to display right.
Are the coloured areas to the left & right & bottom actually going to contain content or are they just going to be solid colour areas? If it's the latter, you'd be better off using coloured borders on existing elements rather than introducing new divs.
All solid areas will have content, i just removed them from this test page in order to better view my prob, the real design can be seen at: www.sevillanaimports.com/css...
Well, got it fixed. What I did was to float-left everything and it seems to be working, at least under latest Mozilla and IE6, haven't looked under IE7 nor other browsers yet.
