    Form Expandes When the User Enters Text in IE6

    I have a contact form set up, and when the user types into the #comments textarea in IE6 the textarea expands to the right about 10,20px?

    Why is this?

    HTML Code:
    <h2> Question / Comments</h2>
    <p align="center">
    <textarea name="comments" id="comments"></textarea>
    <span class="orange">*</span></p>
    css:

    Code:
    #comments {width: 78%;height: 70px;overflow: auto;padding-right: 2px;padding-left: 2px;}

    It's not that it doesn't like the %. It's just that 78% of the firefox window is not the same width as 78% of IE's. Especially if the page is not too tall, since firefox doesn't display a scrollbar until the content overflows, while IE has a scollbar no matter what.

    Thanks for that, come across a simlar problem a while back, i had to set the container height to 101% and have a scroll bar present all the time to stop ff making my content jump over the page.
