OL and UL Validation Hell!!

Hello All,
I am having the hardest time validating my site with my OL and UL tags wehre they are. Currently I have them behind an <h3> tag which I need defined and a <font class=> tag which I also need difined however when I go and drop a ol or ul tag after that I get a valadation error saying that the OL and UL are block level elements and need to be on a line by themselves.

So now what do I do to solve this problem?

For now I have resorted to the unpopular &bull; expression to get a bullet in there but the fact that I cannot use ol and ul is killing me.

Any help would be appreciated,

I think it tells you you can put block elements inside inline elements. If your code is <font><ul>... then remove the font tags.

Thanks Junjun however, I need them to alter my font color to match the rest of the site.

Like Contradical said, don't use the deprecated FONT tag to style fonts, use CSS.

remember...<font> tag is deprecated in HTML 4.01 and not supported in XHTML 1.0 Strict
