    Worked for me... http://search.msn.com/results.asp?q=...IAL&v=1&un=doc

However, it only listed a small minority of the sites linking to me; it said 21 sites and Google says over 500.

Yeah, I don't think that's accurate at all. I got a report from LinkPopularity.com, and they said over 10k sites were linking to us. That search brings up 1 site, and that's my own.

Just found this great site. One of its options will show you how many sites are linking to you.

You have to remember that MSN gets its results from various sources, such as Inktomi and LookSmart. You might try doing a link: command on hotbot to get a good idea of your link situation.

You also have to think that each engine is different and carries a differnet index. You may have 500 pages linking to you in the Google index, but those same 500 pages are probably not in MSN.

I used linkpopularity.com quite a lot of times, and I can say that it doesn´t work as it should.
Keep on trying for a link popularity tool

As far as link popularity goes, a tool is only as good as the size of it's index. If the tool doesn't know about the pages linking to you, it obviously won't give good results.

As such I don't see why anyone needs anything more than Google, with its what? 1.5 billion page index?
