Page 76 of my brand new "Designing without Tables" speaks of "preference panels" in Firefox. I thought I was pretty familiar with the app, but, sofar, NO font or color prefrence panels.

Hmm, give a try to Tools->Option->Content, and you'll see fonts and color on the bottom.
