Adding an image to my web site

    Dear Sarah Large
    Hello,
Firstly.I would like to thank Mr IAN LIOYD, for the 4 free sample chapters
of his remarkable book(build your own website THE RIGHT WAY)
I have built a site of 3 pages and it's address is:
    http://www.geocities.com/fatimaah111
and when I tried to add an image to the HOME PAGE using the mark up
that described in the book, I only got the frame of the image, but not the image it self!
    REGARDS!

Hi Fawzy and welcome to the fourms.

Your code looks fine as long at the image is in the same directory as you page. If you have a different directory you will need to change the path.

For example, if you have a directory for your images in your site folder you would need a path such as:
    Code:
    <img src="images/divers-circle.jpg" width="200" height="162"
alt="A circle of divers practice their skills" />

If that doesn't work try adding the full URL of the image ex.(http://www.yourhosst.com/images/image1.jpg).
