    How does google know when your site is updated

    only when you add,edit, remove content? or does it detect the "date modified"

    Thanks, ive tried searching for this topic in the forum but didnt find any relevant discussion about this.

    You can use Google sitemaps for this also Google now has two bots one of which just goes around and scans pages to see if anything has changed which it then takes and lets the othe Gbot know if anything has been changed so the other bot can reindex the page.

    talking about google sitemap when i first started with google account there was a bottun to add a site map now this bottun does not exist even though
    i never added a site map for my site, any idea?

    its a good a idea from google to cut down on the load they have by asking
    webmasters to add there sitemap to google.
