    You have requested....

    Morning Guys and Gals!

I am using XP PRO at home and am having a strange problem which isnt so much a problem, more of a nuisance!

When ever I disconnect from the Internet and have been using AudioGalaxy or ICQ or apps that keep in constant contact with the server, I get a popup box saying that "You have requested information from garlic.audiogalaxy! Which connection would you like to use?" I have tried to stop it reappearing but to no success.

It seems like the programs concerned are set on automatically try to reconnect and are trying to invoke the connections but this never happened on ME or 2K?

    Any ideas or solutions?

    Thanks

Have you run AdAware recently? Sounds vaguely like you have some scumware.

I remember the site that was ripping off SP's content was garlinfo.com.. or something like that.

Yeah it was Garlic info, im not sure whats going on here though. I dont think garlic.audiogalaxy and garlicinfo.com are related. I have installed minimal software on my XP machine and nothing new or anything!

    Strange! (I dont use adAware)

    Thanks Anyway

It seems like you can't do anything but click cancel when it comes up. ZoneAlarm kept doing it for me until it finally registered itself

It could be settings from within the applications themselves. Check to see if you can tell the applications to "not" log on automatically.

I cant find any setting like that, ICQs settings are huge Ill have another sift through!

The only way I can stop it atm is to close the apps before I quit the connection!
