Adsense and Images, how close can they be?

    Hey Guys,

Adsense and Images, how close can they be?

Ive just put up some adsense on my site and put images so it would look better and would be clicked more.

The Tutorial part on homepage, whats the terms about this? is this allowed?

Not sure about the closeness but a border is required to be put around your adsense block.

I am sure this is untrue as I have seen countless examples on my travels, I have contacted google in relation to the placement of my ads in which there were no borders and all was fine, and have you ever heard of the term blending...

The only fool-proof way to know is to e-mail Adsense support and ask them to review the site. They are the only ones that will be able to tell you if it's within ToS.

i'm not sure why adsense would allow images beside their ads. this of course increases click thru rate, but the user will realize that the ad had nothing to do with the image (in most cases) once they click on the text

I really doubt that this specific use of images would fly. The images make it look way too much like it's part of the website content.

The feedback I recieved was to place a border around the ad-block, this looked crap so I removed the images all together.

Maybe I should try again i've heard that different adsense reps give different respones to queries and before I go ahead with somthing I like to make sure it is legit and I have evidence from a google rep in the form of an email to prove it.
