The onclick for a table

I am developing a site in which I have several tables on the left side frame. When a table value is clicked, I would like to invoke another set of tables in the right-side frame. Would that work through the onclick event? I have a SQL server database set up to look up the values. Are there any samples I can look at?

Please help.

Sure.

<html><head>
<script language="Javascript">
... //define the subroutine
</script>
...
<table>
...
<td OnClick="javascript:subroutine();">
...
</table>

And then just have the function execute whatever you'd like.

P.S. By tables, you mean HTML tables not SQL tables, right?
