    Review new skin care site

I have just created this template for a local skin care company. I still have a bunch of work I have to finish, but these are the basic sample of the site. I know there are alot of things wrong with it, but I am working on alot of the site still, I just wanted to see what you thought of the initial design layout. The menu doesn't work, so you will have to go to each page seperately.

Too much white! Through in some more grays. There is also a huge white gap between the top of the page and the header.

The actual site design is really nice. I like the purple gradients, don't see that color too often anymore.

Hi, Overall very nice. I agree about too much white though. the map on the contact page looks abit out of place, perhaps put it on it's own page or as a link to multimap? The retailers list is well presented and easy to read, no recommendation here. Do you expect to add a members area, what's selling, what's on offer etc?

    Good luck

Load time an issue-- great presentation, however some of the graphics need a bit more resolution. The menus do not appear to be working.

Also the date appears to be off.

    Q...

    Hi,
Layout is fine, but I would incorporate the logo into the header/nav so main content could move up.
I'd think about producing a traditional homepage, with compelling copy, benefits, featured products, etc. At the very least, the current flash "hands" anim needs more readable text.

yeah - those are all things that I see as well - I am working on it still, so not everything works, including the menus, the date, and other things. Thanks for the idea for the maps, I was having a hard time trying to figure that one out. Can someone give me a screenshot of the white gaps everyone is talking about? I don't see that on any of my pc's...

I don't think there is too much white but not enough contrast in the colors used in your sidebars and headlines.

I hope you have more in mind (like some text for SEO) on the homepage than just the flash. The Flash looks nice but you need to work on the image/text placement in there. Some of that text is hard to read overlapping the fingers, flowers, etc.

Good work but I think you have left a lot of space vacant.

    Nice design and colour.

Use more dark colour for the headings (Product catalog).
Also i can't read the logo text (site heading) !!!.

i like the design. would like to see it in its completed stage instead of having to click on each separate link.

I like the white space!! most sites are way to cluttered and appear overwhelming to the viewer, yours is very easy on the eyes allowing me to scan around to find my interests easy. I would make the box around the main body darker though. hard to see and may be why people are saying you have too much white.

    great so far

Hi, I would drop the flash altogether if all you have are a few image transitions. you can accomplish the exact same thing using the prototype, scriptaculaous, lightbox javascript libraries. (they're very popular, google it)

By ditching klunky old flash you have the added benefit of content that Search engines can gobble up! Yay!

Your opening page isn't grabbing me. I think it would look pretty good if it was a logo on top of the page with content below, but sitting there by itself isn't doing it. Maybe it's all the white like someone posted above.
