Server Connection - T1 or Higher

    Hi all,

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am thinking of hosting my website on my own server, in my office building. At the moment, I am considering buying an Apple OS X Server running on an Apple G4 computer. Now, my question is: what type of connection do you think would be enough?

I am thinking of getting a T1 or T3 line connected to my server. What do you all think about that? Should I get a "T" line or something higher (if available)? Also, I have been talking to Bellsouth and they told me I could also use a business DSL connection (which is faster than a home users DSL). What do you all think?

    Thanks...

How much traffic do you push? Its usually more cost effective to just colocate or get a dedicated server.

Why is virtual hosting not enough?

Why not just go with virtual hosting you can get your website hosted and some super deals for $10/month. I would leave hosting to the professionals and then you can concentrate on your field of business.
