    Are there some webpage that talk about the use of colors in construction of an http page. For example what colors are better to use with a backgroun in white and so on...

    I don't know if there are any sites which would tell you what colors would go with what since it is really a matter of personal preference. All I could say is to try to use complementary colors and not too many contrasting colors. Contrasting colors can create a sharp page, but they can also be very annoying and most people won't stay long at a site that is hard on the eyes.

    Another thing to do is to try and use the 256 color rule. There are still a number of people who have systems which will only show 256 colors. A good resource for the 256 colors palette is www.visibone.com because they have a safe color palette which is downloadable and they also have other resources dealing with colors.
