    Talking Very nice suprise

I was checking my site in the Google serp's last night and noticed that for one specific keyphrase my site ranks #11. Not bad, I thought. Then, later, after no more than 10 minutes, I decided to start logging my positions for seo tracking purposes. So I checked back for the same term to verify the position, and I noticed that it had moved up to the front page at position #5. (10 minutes - change of 6 positions better.) I've noticed changes in the past, but never have I noticed a change this fast.

I wish I could see this happen to all my keywords.

Anybody else notice serp changes in a minute amount of time?

I've noticed it happen loads. It seems to be that every querie gets routed through a different server and can return different results. Because Google updates its results the updates may need to mirror accross all their datacentres, and this can take a long time. So you may see fluctuations in your results as you have been seeing.

One of the reason why Google use so many datacenters is index updates. Data centers are not synchronized at once.
Google dance no longer exist as changes are now light and incremental. But Google may return you results from different data centres for some minutes.

Feels kinda like the stock market with all the fluctuations in rankings between the datacenters.
