Piercings/Tattoos
I thought this could make for an interesting conversation. What do you have tattood or pierced, and what does it look like?
I've got my left ear lobe pierced but haven't worn it in years. Damn thing probably closed up by now.
Then two weeks ago I got my left eyebrow pierced. Thinking about getting another!Ryan Kuhle - A Proud Advisor - Got Questions? Just Ask!

I have a very serious problem in punching holes on my body that weren't there before... Personally I think we have enough holes as is. Other than that, I don't really like piercing except the earlobe. The rest is kinda disgusting.
Tattoo's are cool.

Piercings in left ear (2), but ones closed, the others open but I rarely where anything anymore (occassionally will put in a diamond stud my wife gave me).
Tattoo: 1, but really two: Left arm below shoulder. ot it about a dozen years ago when in the Army (and that arm was in a cast). But I was allergic to the ink in the Tat and a rash broke out and kind of messed it up.
Then about 9 years ago I had it redone and added to and it's much better.
Originally it was a sword decending into a wound, pommel was a skull and it had bat wings.
When I had it fixed, the wings were changed to birdlike ones, an ankh was added to the pommel and a sun/moon was placed behind the blade. Made it a little 'less evil'.
Plans: I will have another tat put on the right arm to balance me (I've been unbalanced for too long ::evil grin:. This will be a tribal/celt mix sun of my own creation. I keep redoing the template. (a Steelsun Tat)
But I am waiting as I will have it done the same time as my wife gets hers. She'll be getting a line art hummingbird based on a henns one she had done at a Renn Faire a few years back. But we are trying to find that design again to get a good copy (it was nicely flowing, almost tribal).
I'll take a pic of my Tat with my digital camera when I get home and place it here.Brian Poirier

Eyebrow, nipples, tongue, left ear. I have a tattoo on my right shoulder.
Thats it for now
I plan on enlarging my tattoo but it is a money thing.
As for uses. No one has ever had a more useful anything than a tongue ring.Last edited by Maelstrom; Nov 30, 2001 at 14:58.

1 tattoo -- Japanese symbol just above my left hand boob
D) very cool, its got a crap Japanese meaning (free spirit) but it looks cool. It can be seen here (it's not a great photo!)
I now only have 3 piercings -- left ear twice at top, right ear once at top. I used to have more, like my eyebrow was done twice (but I think they look kinda dumb now) also had my lip done and my ears a couple more times. Had to take most of them out though cos of job interviews.I swear to drunk I'm not God.

But I agree.. I didn't find it painful, and it was pretty good to heal, but sleeping was a nightmare, and it only takes you to accidentally knock it and it hurts like hell and goes all red and inflamed. Plus after a few months it started to get really dry and painful, which is why I took both of my eyebrow piercings out.I swear to drunk I'm not God.

Scarily odd that this thread has just been started when today I got my left earlobe pierced for the first time ever. Not sure if i'll get anymore cos this was a bit scary (yes, i'm a wimp) but it does look kinda cool. Just need to wait 6 weeks for it to heal now so I can replace it with a small silver ring.

I have a tongue piercing, and I used to have my eyebrow done as well. I didn't think it was all that much more painful than tweezing a stubborn eyebrow hair. I had mine for about six months and then it started to grow out, so I took it out. Strangely enough, I've never had pierced ears.
Oh, and no tattoos, but I really want a blue outline of a star, about the size of a quarter, in the small of my back.
p.s. creole's kinda cute

2 earlobe piercings, unused. 1 has closed up the other is still open, though I haven't worn an earring in a while.
Tattoos
An iron cross opposed w/ a dot on each side of the arms on my right hand between the thumb & first finger.
Left outer calf - a phoenix with a dragons head in the flames rising above.
Right upper arm - a statue of liberty skull all black except the eyes, which are bloodshot blue.
Left upper arm - Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar.
All about 10 yrs old of various quality.
Would like to get more, but its a low financial priority right now.
Never had the urge for any other piercings.Last edited by isotope235; Nov 30, 2001 at 20:22.

[drool]
Nicky, I think a tattoo on the lower back is one of the sexiest places a woman can get a tattoo.
[/drool]
All tattoos hurt Nicky. I know that sounds cliche but it's true. They do however have varying degrees of pain. Most people will tell you that it hurts most when the artist is over bone. For me it was the opposite. It hurt more over the fatty areas. So the back of my ankle hurt more than the side.
The one on my back hurt the most probably.
A good comparison...have you ever waxed your legs? Do you remember how bady it hurt? At least the first time? My old girlfriend wanted to show me how bad doing that hurt and it hurts worse (at one time) than tattooing. Of course, you're not waxing your legs for 45 minutes either.
I think the pain is worth it, but that's just my opinion. I'm really wanting to get another tattoo soon. I think that this time I'm going to get one that's ultra visible. I think this next one will go on my right wrist. I've got a few ideas, but most of them are some sort of circle about 2.5-3 inches wide (7cm?) with a design inside.Adobe Certified Coldfusion MX 7 Developer
