    grant and revoke question

    I'm grant user like this

    mysql > grant all on project.* to me identified by 'me';

    after this command has effect in 2 table in mysql database. That is user table and db table has new row.

    but when I'm revoke this user

    mysql > revoke all on project.* from me;

    after this command, MySql delete row from db table. but why not delete row from user table?
    I live in Thailand. My English grammar not well.

    The first statement is doing two things. It's creating the user and password and granting the permission.

    The second statement is only revoking the permission.

    You would not necessarly want to drop the user just because you revoked the permission.
