    Cross-Browser Display Issues

I am a programmer with absolutely no eye for design. so in my recent web site I had someone helping with the design. Well about 3 days ago he split, and I have to finish it, the site is http://www.zapcontent.com. I only use Firefox so I never noticed before, but today I looked at it in IE, and oh my god, it looks like crap. I am hoping maybe someone here could help shed some light on why it looks so different between IE and Firefox, and maybe some suggestions for fixing it. I would like it to at the very least look similar, cause I know for certain, that the way it looks now is losing visitors.

Here are some screenshots, the first one is how it is suppose to look, the second is with Internet Explorer, I have used BrowserCam to check other platforms and browsers, and the only browsers that mess up are Internet Explorer based ones on Windows. The Mac version of IE doesnt mess it up.

Small ones are attached to this post, larger screenshots can be seen at:

    Help Please???

Thanks in advance for any advice.

i just took a very quick glance; you dont have DOCTYPE.

without it IE goes into quirks mode doesnt render the box model ok etc, im not sure if its relevant for table layout but heres some info about it, thats the first thing Id do:

doctypes that work and IE Browsers, doctypes and the box model

Well that fixed the cutting the text at the edges of the boxes. Still doesnt make the page fit like it should, but it is an excellent start, thanks for the help.

If you can give me some time, I'll be happy to look at your code and suggest improvements to ensure proper cross-browser display of your site. I've got a few people I'm helping (in depth) at the moment, but when I'm done helping them, I'll be more than happy to assist you.
