    Web CEO any good?

I am thinking of getting Web CEO but don't know if it is any good. I mean, if you don't buy the reoccuring updates, is this program useless?

I use the free version from their website and I think it's great.

They have a good special on the paid version lasting a few more days. Do you think it is worth it?

Useful is not a very deciding factor. There are many freebie tools on the Net. Does Web CEo give better or more answers?

When I say something is fairly useful, I mean it is cosiderably better then the rest. I have used IBP(you must pay for it) and WebCEO as well as other free tools. WebCEO provides integrated enviroment for doing many SEO tasks, while most others only provide a subset of its features.

Thank you. I just bought it. I hope it was a wise decision. Like you said, it looks like it provides a good intergrated environment for many SEO tasks.

You mean you paid money right away. I wish you had tried the free version. It includes most of the things you need. That would give you the feel of the usefulness of the software. You can always switch to the paid edition later, when you require more sophisticated options.

It's pretty good for free software - esp if your target market is mainly America.

I would like to be able to target google.co.nz. I thought there was a place where you could add other SE's but I can't find it now. If anyone does, let me know...

I've spent most of the day playing with Web CEO and while I think it's a worthwhile program, like any canned software it has some traits I find objectionable. For instance, its says your page title should be the first think in your head area. I prefer to put my META character set and language first. Although I may be wrong, I think it helps the bot to parse my page which is, I believe, the first thing it needs to know.

Another example is that it says to put keywords in alt attributes. If the image doesn't merit keywords, then they have no place in the alt tag. (Maybe that means the image shouldn't be there but what the hey )

All in all, it seems that the good features outweigh the questionable. The auditor, link partner finder, etc are very good. However, I recommend that those who download Web CEO look at their suggestions as "suggestions" and not irrevocable SEO law. SEO seems to be a very fluid science and what might work today may not work tomorrow.

Yeah - I agree that some of it is a bit off base. I disregard the advice it gives and use it for keyword research etc.

Is there really a big difference between WebCEO and IPB9?

Has anybody experience with using Web CEO in combination with non-english websites?

I too use IBP9 but like you there are just somethings that a proggy can't compete with, for those, I totally agree, its manual elbow grease that returns the best results
