I am looking to broadcast a live video feed of my pastors sermon onto our website. I like the way real player works. Has anyone broadcasted live to their website using a web camera or real player? I need some suggestions.
I am also looking into this for my own church. I thought I was going to be the first, oh well
You will need-
A camera
An AVI card installed on your computer, about $200 min for decent video
A video editing program, although, I think the free version of RealProducer may do the trick
High-speed Internet access, the faster the better (upload speed)
A host server that won't limit your bandwidth and one that will be able to keep up with demands (probably dedicated)
Keep in mind that even if you have a few hundred people watching, this could use a lot of bandwidth. You may want to double check with your host provider first.
IMHO,
Westmich
