    Hi everyone!

I have a site made with FrontPage 98. It is on NT server. No problem. I'm moving the site to new Linux server, and I have a problem with my filenames - the NT is not but Linux IS case sensitive for filenames. I'm developing the site on NT, I only want to change the hosting machine. Does anyone know some utility to run on my Frontpage files to correct all the links to real filenames?

    (f.e. http://www.tiszanet.hu/data/dfklub/pub04_df4.htm is the same as http://www.tiszanet.hu/data/dfklub/PUB04_df4.htm
    - it is on the NT server -

but http://195.228.101.100/dataobject/dfklub/PUB04_df4.htm is not the same as http://195.228.101.100/dataobject/dfklub/pub04_df4.htm

    - it is the case with Linux server -

I don't know if this is what you're asking, but you could use the BKReplacem utility available on this site to do mass replaces.

It is at http://www.orbit.org/replace/ and is free.

If you're looking for something like a site miner to automatically fix links, I don't know of anything like that

Your answer is actually simple. If your using all lower case names within your webpages you can set your FTP program to automatically use all lower case names on the server. If Frontpage doesn't support this under its publishing features then you can download WS-FTP Pro from http://www.ipswitch.com/. It allows you to set this up on a server by server basis. I think the light version has the same feature.

Thanks for helpful adresses. I tried the BKReplacem utility. It almost does what I need, but I decided to write own solution with my friend. It'll convert all filenames to lowercase, search the whole Frontpage site for "in site" URL's and replace them with lowercase ones. All in Java (no, I'm not writeing it, my friend does!). I'll tell you at the and how it works....

    Thanks again
