    Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm designing buttons for a web page and have a layer with text and one for a button. I need to merge the two layers so the text is sitting on the button. In my layers palette the text layer is above the button layer which according to directions it should be. But when I merge down the layer, the text seems to go behind the button , it won't show up. All layers are visible.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Jennifer

the only way your text would go behind your background is if your layers are not arranged correctly.

i did exactly what you described using the merge down, merge visible, and flatten image commands, but i could not duplicate what you described.

try using layer > arrange > bring to front (ctrl+shift+]) on the text layer before you merge the layers. if this doesn't work, then i don't know what else...

    hope this helps...
