Tutorial for Ajax Live Search

Hello,

I want to implement a complex ajax live search whereby users can enter their search criteria in various form fields and get live search results corresponding to those criteria. Can anybody recommend a good tutorial for this?

I need to use the observe_field function on various fields at the same time, but don't know how to do this. Can anybody help?

Note the search box on the left. I want the user to be able to search for cars using the three criteria. How can I achieve this?
