If anybody could help me with making a downloadable mp3 on my site it would be very helpful. Currently the browser try's to run the file rather than downloading it. I am not sure how to make the browser download rather than attempt to run it.
Any help emailed to me would be greatly appreciated.
Since most machines have .MP3 players installed by default either with RealAudio, Windows Media Player or Quicktime, the file will automatically play. You can zip the file and it will download instead of play when the user clicks on the link. You can also put a note on the page stating that if they wish to download the file to right-click on it in a Windows machine or click and hover on a Macintosh which will bring up the context menus.
