I think this is the right forum - if not just move it:

I have been asked to design and produce a website for a friend's dad's Self storage business.

He is willing to pay me but I have no idea how much to expect - how much is not enough and how much is totally to much;

I will be producing:
About 10 - 20 pages of information,
most graphics apart from the logo, such as bullits or buttons ...
and regular updates.

got any suggestions?

Check a little further down this forum under "High Web Design Price - Why". We had quite a lenghty discussion on the different pricing isues.

How much do you think your time is worth? Do you want it more for the money or for your resume? (Where I'm working I get near $30/hr while someone else is doing the same thing for free to pad his resume.)

Figure out how much you want total and how long it'll take and see what you think you should get. Then add a little to it.

Also, know that he is a friend's dad so do got out for too much of a killing.

I guess if it is your 1st job charge less. Charge more the 2nd time and beyond for "your experience."
