    We're de-bugging our new site, and I have people telling me that they've found a bug. It all revolves around putting your mouse over the image being used for a submit button. In IE it turns into the hand, but in Netscape it stays as the pointer. I've looked at a ton of major sites and and it's the same way there. So I say it's not a bug in our code, it's just a Netscape thing. Am I right or can some one show me a site that the pointer turns into a hand on Netscape.

    It's normal. The pointer never turns into a hand on submit buttons in Netscape and also in IE so I can't see a reason why it should turn if the image is used instead of button.

    You can force the cursor to change onmouseover using CSS. Do this by setting the cursor to hand in javascript.

    this.style.cursor = hand;

    You would have to change it back onclick and onmouseover though. I don't see the cursor as a big point if your images are clearly labeled.
