Ever since this morning, Outlook Express will hang up. I have to restart my computer to get it working again.
After it hangs, up, I go through CTRL+ALT+DEL and end the task, since it is not responding.
After I do so, when I try to open it (or Outlook), it shows a busy cursor, then disappears. It doesn't load anything.
Does anyone know what the problem may be?
i'm not sure what the problem is but i do get this problem sometimes... sometimes it's okay the next bootup... sometimes i'd have to re-install it... my guess is your installation got corrupted somehow...
You're right, it's working now after the 3rd-4th reboot.
I didn't post here, because I figured it would happen again. I probably just jinxed myself.
It's a sign. Unless you like getting viral infections, i'd stop using outlook and use something like Eudora.Outlook Express - Won't start for anything
Absolutely. Another alternative is The Bat! It is excellent and has an interface similar (but not the same) to OE. I found Eudora a bit difficult to use.Originally posted by Defender1

true i also found Eudora rather difficult to use
and i'll go check out that The Bat you were talking about... thanks for the recommendation husain
I've looked at both Eudora and Pegasus, and wasn't really impressed. I guess I've just gotten used to OE.
I may check out The Bat later on.
