I prefer the second one, but if you try using the bluish colors in the header of the first design, it might be a winner also

I voted 2, no. 1 doesn't look very "affordable" imo.

I voted 2, it looks easier on the eye.
Number 1 is very good but looks a bit 'heavy' with the black and blue.

    Cheers

I voted Design 1, I think it gives off a professional persona and makes me believe the jewellery will be of a good quality. Design 2 is good aswell, but I think that Design 1 adds a bit more professionalism.

Design 1 looks unfinished and unorganized with the header stretching out like that. If you set the header at the same with as the rest of the page it would make a world of difference.

To be honest I liked them both. They both looked very classy and professional. I personally will never buy from a website that doesn't impress me. I feel if their website reflects how they do business.

I voted for 2 but I would be happy with either. I'm not a big fan of the quotes on the 1st design.

i voted for two because the black was a little overbearing...

Interesting, that it's just about dead even.

Too bad there is 172 views and only 25 votes. How hard is it to vote people? You aren't even asked to leave any feedback if you don't want to.

    Same here.

But I have to add that I think the 100% money back gurantee should be seen without scrolling in option 2 as in option 1!

In the first one, I was looking for a search box but then realized it was at the top with the funky striped background. Consider changing the searchbox background to something else. I thought it was just a graphic at first.

I'd opt for option1 - if the colours of header and footer would be edited... I agree that the black and blue is a little heavy - if that could be changed - it would look great!

eventhough I prefer the positioning of the menu on option2 - nicer to be lower, more part of the page ...

    good luck with it

#2 although on this design (not too sure if it was intentional or not) the links at the base of the page jump to the right when you run the mouse over, this should be pretty simple to solve with CSS. Overall the design wasn't too bad on this one.

I like option two. but the satisfaction guranteed logo should be at the top as well as the credit card information. IMO looks a little funny at the bottom. Overall some really nice sites.

Definately #2. I dislike the black, although as surchin pointed out, it does contrast well with the diamond. In general, I just like the layout of the second one, and I feel the navigation is more accessable and easier to see.

I did notice that both were slightly slow loading? But I guess since we're just critiquing the design, that doesn't matter.
