    Another VB Question :D

Hey I need some major clarification...

    Whats a data enviroment?

How can I make it so all I have to do (when coding) is write what code I need then use regular editing commands to change stuff...

For example say I want to put the name of the person with the username: thegreat. I saw that there is a tab that says query and it looks like what I want, but I do not know how to set that up. (They features in query are all grey ).

    Anybody have any idea?!?!?!

    nm!

nevermind...I got the database thing...im just gonna use ADO, RS() for the database editing, I got yet another question:

I am developing a sales system for a 7 network computer system. 5 are actual work stations and 2 are accounting and main server.

Would I be able to make a System-DSN on the main server and have the other systems use that connection for that database? Or should I point directly to the database over the network path?

I know C++ would be better for this, but my lack of that language is what holds me back ...

    thanks!

    David
