    Www.Save-A-Family.Org Website Review

    Hello everybody,

We are a newly found group that has a goal of helping some Iraqi families damaged by terrorism or the military acts taking place in their country. We at the beginning were just planning on making a website to collect donations and support, but then learnt about Adsense and thought it could be of a great help to us. We have been trying to ''Design'' this website for months. After a flashy 'cool' pink layout, we decided to use something completely different. We now are using colors and a layout that should be easy on the eyes and fast loading, yet still be able to deliver our message. We are nothing of webmasters, and this is our first try. Please let me know what you think about the design http://save-a-family.org/index1.html and about the Adesense placement that would be something like whats on http://save-a-family.org/layout-with-ads.html

Please mind not the pink borders, they will be gone.

Ill be waiting for everybodys reply, we really need your help and a review would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you

(P.S: We still need to know what kind of content should we use, we are thinking about a lot of stuff... What would you suggest?)

Very different which makes me like it...

The outside edges look kind of like they don't fit in but they still go well with everything else...

Overall I like the site, good luck on finishing it.

The adsense placement makes it look like thats what your site is all about. This is because...
    1. It's higher on the page making it seem important. If someone doesn't have their browser window open to the biggest size they may not even know there is anything else to your page because they have to scroll down to see the actual content.

    2. It's bordered by images making it seem important.

    3. It's in the center of the page.

Hope that helps. Also I like your banner.

I definitely agree with Clayton. The website has a good overall design, however. You should either make the ads a single row, without border images, and set off to the left, or move them below your content.

Thank you very much for your answers and advices, Ill definitely consider what you have said about the Adsense placement. I would want it to be visible, cause the site will depend on it, but content should be noticed as well.

What else? The colors, overall design, look and feel, accessibility?

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

    absolutely lovely little site
(I agree with Clayton about the ads)

like the feel of it - very friendly and almost personal.... feels inviting

just a few bits that would cross my mind:
    > outer border - like it alot as a feature but would try to stick with the feel of the handdrawn lines for this.....
    > header graphic - shame it does not completely span the header section
maybe it would look good without any what around the blue?

nice work - good luck with your site

Thanks a lot eyedea, Ill definitely consider your recommendations.

About the Ads, we really do need people to notice them as thats what we will be depending on... Dont get me wrong, there will be original content and hopefully a for-everybody-useful-website, but it would help a lot to have the Ads noticed, and thus make it more likely for them to get the click.

What do you guys think? Any more suggestion?

    Thank you very much!
