    IE ignores <strong>???

I have a paragraph tag with a class defined and tried to use <strong> around a title in the paragraph. IE ignores the use of this tag...why?

What is best practice when trying to get an element bold that is inside of a paragraph tag that has a defined class?

    Am I missing something here?

Hell... I'd just use the bold tag...

Don't take my advice, though... some web standards flag carrier would have a problem with me, I'm sure.

As for the question about the strong tag, the last time I had this problem myself, it was because the font I was using didn't have a bold version. I don't know if this could be your problem now. Did you assign a style to your strong tags or anything (in your stylesheet) ??

...because if you did, you'd have to assign a font-weight higher than 800 to notice any difference with most fonts in IE.

LOL...no I spelled it right. Thanks for pointing that out though. I actually haven't declared anything in my stylesheet because I was happy with it just displaying the way it's supposed too. I'm using Verdana as my font of choice. I would think that everyone would have that one.

It's just one of IE's quirks I guess.

I figure I'll leave it alone. (they should have FF anyways) ;-)

Thanks for the help...oh and I loved your movie BTW. ;-)

How come you didn't just use bold??...

Or you could define a new class and use span...

    Edit:

Like I said... that's what I would do... The web-standards boys will probably want to poke me in the eye for something or the other.

Wouldn't do that - you wouldn't be able to see at all then.
