    A VB question for you VB gurus...

    ARG...didn't know where to put this post, had no time to find proper one so here we go:

    How the HECK do I connect to a database in VB6? I can't figure the damned thing out! ARG pwease help...thanks...

    Ahhhhh.... yes... don't you just love the easy way that microsoft designs thier programs

    now... back to your question.

    simply click the 'data control' then just select the database your connecting to from the '...' thingo.

    There is also a data form wizard which can come in useful, (add-ins | add-in manager > VB6 data form wizard) after that just follow the steps!

    Hope that gets you started

    woah...nm...

    Wow...thats weird...havn't really done too much database editing with VB...I made a form with my ODBC connection and that works perfectly...what if I wanted to implement this into my login page?

    I see it uses recordset...but where does it specify the record?

    Is there a way to just ADD the connection to the database...not create a full form then edit it?

    ROFL...nevermind, I partially figured it out by just fooling around with it...ya can jus connect to the DB with a little icon at the top...(yellow db image )

    ohhh yeah... we were talking about VB as in visual basic.... not VB as in vbulletin
