Newsletter ending up in 'Junk Mail' box

    Hi,

I write and send out a newsletter for an online MSN Community, when asking for a little feedback on the new newsletter it has become apparent to me that many members who have hotmail addresses (the majority of the club) are not receiving this e-mail, instead it is going straight into their Junk Mail box.

I can quite clearly see the problem, the members list is managed in Excel and when I want to send out a newsletter I copy the Excel addresses column into the BCC field of Outlook. As there is around 700 addresses the Hotmail filters are detecting it as spam.

What I need is a mailing list program (the server supports both Perl & PHP) that will send e-mail in such a way that it gets through the hotmail filter (i.e. sending lots of seperate mails instead of one to many, many addresses) and will allow me to add several hundred mail addresses all at once (in a list, seperated by carriage returns)

Thanks in advance! You guys have always been great when I've asked for support in the past

    Chris.

There are sites which you can goto who provide this server or you could get a host that has a mailing list software package. Check www.hotscripts.com they have lots as well!

I use an OLE server called IDSMail from http://www.intuitive-data.com - and plug it into an Access application that sends mail from a database application, one message per addressee.

    Sorry, it isn't free.

    Thanks Guys!

    Hi again,

Thanks for all your help. I've downloaded and installed Mojo Mail and it looks promising. Just need an excuse to send out a mail to the members to see if it really works

    Tell them it's a test. =)

Or just send them a quick update on the site.

Tell them that you've had complaints that your newsletter is being sent to the "junk mail" bin and many people are missing it. Therefore you're trying a new mailer and would like to have feedback from everyone as to whether it landed in the regular mail or junk mail box.

    Use ASP

If you know how, I'd sugest the access thing. Write an access database and hook it up to an asp mailer script and loop through the the DB until EOF
If you need a PM me.. I can give you some advice.
