    xls to html converter

Does anyone know of a xls to html converter that does what it says? All the ones i've found insist on sticking in a style sheet so i can't use it on a template

I just want a xls table to be converted into a html table with nothing else. Really annoying me...

...OR a program to sort html tables

    Thanks. Pete

It should not be a problem stripping the table HTML out of the generated page, then simply cut and paste it into your template.
Technology is dominated by two types of people:
those who understand what they do not manage,
and those who manage what they do not understand.

Excel has an option to save as html. Use it. It will save it as an XML template.

The code is not brilliant, but there is nothing easier than that.

Also, I don't understand why you say that, by sticking on CSS, they can't be used on a template. A template is code styled with CSS, so that shouldn't be a problem.

You can use PHP + an excel reading library to read the file and then create the HTML with the data however you'd like.

    I recommend using http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpexcelreader/

Thanks. I know about the excel thing but i wanted one without the style sheet. it'll be annoying having to cut it off everytime i wanted to add something. plus you have style tags everywhere that don't use anything. The main reason was that it totally messes the template up and i have no idea why. it looks ok in the browser but in programs like dreamweaver, the table breaks up..and i can't edit the table with it looking like that.

I'm not sure my hosters let me have an excel PHP reader thing. I havn't looked at the link yet though.

    Thanks again

...I just did the cut and paste thing and it worked perfectly. Thanks again again
