    meta tag problem, help appreciated

I am quite new to web design and only recently learnt about the use of meta tags for search engines. I added some to the index page of a website I made at this link http://www.sme-training.co.uk for some reason the meta tags have caused the main table contianing all my html to move downwards creating a gap between the top header and the top of the page. You can see by clicking one of the other links how I intend all the all pages to align with the header placed right at the top with no space. Im hoping any of you can point out what I have done wrong. I am sure it is a simple mistake that is easly fixed but one that I would probably never see unless someone points it out. Thankyou

Never use carriage return or line feed characters inside an attribute value.

(Also, your <meta http-equiv="refresh"> element is invalid: the content attribute is required.)
