Lost My Marbles! Need help with a tagline

    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to develop a tagline for my graphic design business.

The word "Marble" is in the business/domain name.

My target market are Internet & Direct Mail Marketers.

Keywords that they can probably asociate with include: money, profits, response, direct marketing, mailing, conversions, and several other money/profit terms.

Can you help me brainstorm a cool tagline?

    Thanks

    DD

    Okay, here's another one:

Tell us a bit about yourself, DomainDame.

    Hmmm...let's see.

I've been dabbling in coding and graphics since 2001. Unfortunately, I never really took the time to develop my skills on a professional level until recently.

The work that I do is primarily for offline (direct mail) advertising. I do more layout work than acual designing, I suppose. Now, I'm trying to move online with my work to see where I fit in with my current skill level.

I think coding is still my strong point. I may want to purpose template coding vs actual template/website design. I don't think my skill level is there yet.

I want to create a web presence now to display my portfolio. I have clients and now have the ability to service an online market. I work mostly with direct & internet marketers and copywriters.

Oh...I certainly have a domain fetish. I have a decent size domain portfolio and unfortunately, many are undeveloped, primarily due to the lack of design skills above.

Was this what you were looking for

Knock Your Competitors Right Out of the Ring

Ok.. so I found out that the Game Ringer is played at the National Marbles Tournament. Thus the association with the word ring.

One of the things that I find interesting about working on-line is meeting people who have different experiences and are at different places in their lives. For instance, I think it's pretty kule that you are a coder who would like to increase her graphic skills—while my background is in graphic design and creative copywriting but I have a current interest in Web development.

I think, more than ever, people who are in our industry need to be Jacks (and Jills) of all trades. It's not like the old agency days when one person came up with the concept, someone art directed it, a layout artist put it together, a film person readied it for print, etc. We have to know it all.

In fact, what we are doing on this thread is akin to the brainstorming sessions at an agency, throwing all the ideas out on the table and coming up with a clever bit of text for your tagline.

I think it's pretty awesome that most of us are making a pretty good job of it.

Here's a suggestion further to the agency brainstorming idea voiced in my last post. When beginning a storm session the first thing we used to do was get out big pieces of paper or use a whiteboard and write down all the words we could think of that pertained to the subject. Why don't we try that? I'll start:

    Aggies
    Keepsies
    Boulder
"We're all mad here." Cheshire Cat—Alice in Wonderland, 1865

Ok... I googled some terms. Here are some that seem interesting:

    Alley
    Rubies
    Missiles
    Taw
    Chip
    Ducks
    Lag-line (lag, lagging)

Then, I'll add to the list the "marketing terms".

    Direct
    Response
    Profits
    Conversions

I think but not sure...that my tagline should be directly related to the uniqueness of my business and what I do (for the client)
