    Thumbs up

I immediatly took to the second blue logo you posted initially, it is clean and crisp - not fussy - Coldfusion/Macromedia feel to the logo without being cheesy...You added the comma into the 'd' and well I think that nailed it.

    Great work! Sy

go with the letters cd with the comma for the center of the d. write comma delimited as a tagline underneath. once people use your services and become familiar with them, it will be recognisable and make since.

you could have the best logo in the world and have a lousy company, or a very profitable biz with a crappy logo. I know i don't do biz with companies based on their logo and i don't think many others do as well. what needs to be considered is how the logo can be carried over to promotional items like hats, shirts, mugs, pens, etc.

Sorry for the slow response, but yes - for the most part.

Those are some sweet logos. I wish I could be involved with the branding of that logo!

The image itself is fine, but I would add more definition to the text, maybe bold and normal each either word, cliche but would make for easier reading, after all delimited is "clear cut" or so to speak...

Overall, i see it very brandable, very fun, very interactive, not in an "swf" sense but, a logo that interacts with the people that it comes in contact with.

I'm leaning towards the pink. For no valid reason.. i think.

    Rudy...

I considered seperating the tagline with commas instead of pipes, but I don't want to overuse the comma. Seeing how it's really big in the d, I think it's good as is.

It's nice, but I think it's perhaps a little too close to the vodafone branding. http://www.vodafone.com/

    Hmmm...Vodafone...

Lots of similarities there. Purely unintentional though. Plus, it's a totally different industry, and I'm not a business...just a website trying to do some cool programming stuff. Thanks for pointing it out though

    Creole,

Your "final designs" from August 8 should be your final designs. The focus is perfect: The icon, the name, then the tagline. I think all the elements together are excellent and the icon could stand by itself. Well done.

I've made a few subtle changes on the suggestion of colleagues. You can see the final version on my site's new splash page:

    http://www.commadelimited.com/

    1) Bolded the word "delimited" to make it stand out from the word "comma". That was one of the biggest critiques, that the two words could be read not as intended.

    2) I spaced out the tagline. A critique was that the words were too close to the vertical bars.

    3) I centered the logo (to the tagline) over the word "delimited" as it was so close anyway.

    4) Finalized on a darker version of the magenta color. Still quite bright and saturated, but a little more toned down.

No, i too do not see a clear distinction, and we know the two words. Imagine the people hearing of it and seeing the first time... it's going to take them a while to figure out the name.

I'd thin out "comma" so that it is REALLY distinct. Do not make delimited any thicker to compensate, it's thick enough. If the regular weight of the font is as thin as in "comma", then you'll have to figure out a way to knock off some weight. Which there is in Illustrator - if thats what you used.

Would not recommend but a color change for the word either... might be too distracting and take away focus.

I did think that it looked like Vodafone logo when I first glanced at them, but as time went on I began to see that it wasn't anything to close to the Vodafone.
    Great choice with them mate!
