    Drive Icons gone

I recently downloaded a security program that allowed you to, among other things, block access to certain drives by removing thier icons from the My Computer window. Well after I uninstalled the program my drive icons were still missing. How can I get them back?

Did you perform a clean uninstall?

If so, I believe that perhaps what we're going to have to do is a little registry editing.

Also, why didn't you just re-display the drive icons with the security program before you uninstalled it? Doing things such as that are a good practice to get into before you un-install software.

    Hope this helps.

I did try to re-display the icons before I uninstalled it. I was able to restore everything except them.

Yeah, registry editing will get them back.

Try TweakUI. its a good program for doing such things, and it won't screw up your system.

It, and other things, can be downloaded from:
