Okay, so maybe the question isn't as popular as I thought it was. Here's my situation:
I've got a site that uses frames to generate a consistent look and feel for my site. I've got a search page that is for the internal workings of my site. I need to add a search form that hits a major engine, but instead of taking the visitor out of my site (ala target="_top").
I want to see if there is an engine available out there that will let me format the results page to blend in with my site's color scheme and layout, then if a visitor click on a link, the target="_top" kicks in.
There are several scripts that use the Open Directory to blend the search results into your site. You can find them at http://cgi.resourceindex.com/. Some of them even blend Amazon book picks into the search listing to help drive a little affiliate program action to your site.
