Keeping track of Advertisers
I find it rather hard to keep track of all the advertisers with just Microsoft Excell in my hand. What I mean is keeping track of Advertising start and ending dates, and notification of different contract closings.
What I am looking for is maybe an application (Not a web application) To manage accounts and let me check who I received payments from and notifing me who I haven't based on the required date that I place.
What ways are you guys and gals using to manage things like this.

You could try and use microsoft access it should be easy to do what you want to do.

dkAds uses our ad server to keep track of advertisers
and publishers, we have modified it highly to serve
as both our ad server, and our database software
You could try a similar setup. A Perl or PHP script
with a MySQL database...

Call me primitive, but I just use a clipboard and put these documents I printed out on them so that I can record what newsletter ad spaces I have sold, what days they were for, who I sold them to, that sort of thing. I think you could just ad a "payment received?" field or something and check that when you get payment. It does work. You can do this on your computer easily too, but because I always have so many applications open, I like to have a hard copy of my newsletter ad information.Contact me about cheap hosting solutions!
