    Fixed or variable browsing?

This is really an extension of the Fixed or variable width poll.

Lots of us here seem to be of the big-monitor variety. If you have a big monitor, what res do you use, and how do you surf, full-screen or smaller?

I have big screens, but have found that I tend to open up a few windows around 900 wide and surf that way.

    How about you?

I've got big screen but when browising website... I mostly use small window... unless its really cool flash movie or Film...

I dont see the reason of full screen since most website is designed for 800x600 screen res. and I could fit 4 of them on my screen at once.

Full screens, though I do open a lot of browser windows..

    Arrow

I'm on a 20" monitor, 1024x768. I never use full screen for anything, including browser windows.

If a page is designed for flexible widths, the text is sometimes too wide to read comfortably, unless the designer knew what he/she was doing. Unfortunately, this is rare.

(On Mac...I like seeing my desktop)
You might as well fall flat on your
face as bend too far over
    backwards.

Always full screen. Don't know why, just a habit, I guess.
