    Pixel Positioning and Screen Resolution

    Hi All!

I've used some absolute positioning for an image on a site I'm working on, and it displays perfectly fine on my computer. But my friend sees the image over the text...

Could this be due to the screen resolution of his laptop? He said that he uses the same browser that I do (IE6)...

Any help with this issue will be highly appreciated. To show how bad this problem is, I've had to resort to using tables for layout! (SitePoint sore point :P)

all4nerds, I'm afraid I removed the "offending" code off the site, and replaced it with a table-based approach. I'll be uploading the code later on the day for you to see...

    Thanks for your reply...

Too bad. Chances are that you were trying to make your layout pixel perfect, but if you use fixed units, it is bound to show differently in different resolutions.
