    Rad Rails

Hey, i had one of my friends telling me about this, But what is so absolutely special about this? is it like a cheating program, like dreamweaver is with html? lol Please fill me in, because if it is like that i wont be getting it just because i would like to "learn" rails before i go using one of those.

It's not a 'cheating' program (you still have to write all the code yourself), it just has plenty of Ruby/Rails integration to make your life easier, especially allowing you to run generators and webrick servers from within the IDE instead of having to have a separate command prompt/console window.

That said, I've started using Komodo (http://www.activestate.com) which has a few more coding features (though misses the generator/server bits). Komodo does cost money though, so get the trial version first to make sure you like it.
