    Hi Guys

This really frustrates me what am I doing wrong here, the content seems to be coming out of the footer in FF and and it's not leaving enough margin in IE

Could be because you have a -2em margin assigned top and bottom... which effectively turns your 2em high footer inside-out.

Usually a negative margin on BOTH sides that total TWICE the height of the DIV can be a TOUCH unpredictable.

    Hi

Thanks for your reply the footer is placed outside the container tag which is set to 100% height so the negative value should always place the footer at the bottom of the screen, the clearfooter tag should provide the gap between footer and container.

I've used this method before and it seems work fine but every so often I screw it up and I can't see why, like this time
