    What is causing this double spacing?

    I have this issue with the paragraph being double spaced and I can not seem to figure what is causing this.

    The page is located here:

    http://www.pilotjourney.com/aviationcolleges - and the copy in question is the description for the school, just left of the Get Info Now button.

    Here's the code:

    <table style="border-collapse: separate;" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="0" width="585" border="0">
    <tbody>
    <tr bgcolor="#ffffff">
    <td width="162" height="30">&nbsp;<a title="TEst" href="http://www.pilotjourney.com/Aviation_Schools/Flight_Schools/Mesa_Pilot_Development/"><img style="margin: 0px;" title="Mesa Airline Pilot Schools" height="75" alt="Mesa Airline Pilot Schools" src="http://www.pilotjourney.com/images/stories/sjc.gif" width="153" border="0" /></a></td>
    <td valign="middle" align="left" width="273" bgcolor="#ffffff">
    <p><font size="2"><span class="style1">The Mesa Pilot Development program at San Juan College provides flight training to people who want an airline career. As a flight student in the Mesa Pilot Development you’re about to embark on an airline career opportunity of a lifetime! Read </span><span class="style1">More</span><br />
    </font></p></td>
    <td width="134">
    <div align="center"><font color="#000000"><a title="" href="http://www.pilotjourney.com/ContactSJC20"><img title="" height="61" alt="" src="http://www.pilotjourney.com/images/stories/buttonw.gif" width="80" border="0" /></a></font></div></td></tr>
    <tr bgcolor="#ffffff">
    <td colspan="3">
    <div align="center"><img height="2" alt="" src="http://www.pilotjourney.com/images/buttons/button_border.gif" width="544" /></div></td></tr></tbody></table></p><!--
    END BUTTONS TABLE-->

    If I look at the code above in dreamweaver it's not double spaced, but if I preview it in the browser it is. I have a hunch it may have something to do with your styles. What styles have you specified in:

    <span class="style1">
    Calm down -- it's only ones and zeroes

    This will do the trick:

    Code:
    .style1 {line-height: 100%;}
    As for whats causing it:

    Code:
    div, p,  table, td, th {
    	font-family: Verdana,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
    	line-height: 130%;

    }
