    Mobile Phones - Got em?

I was the last member of my family to get a mobile phone but I finally got one last year.

My little sister has two and so does my father.

Do you and your family have them?

Hey! What's with calling my phone an 'old phone'?!

    I'd love an 8210. Or an 8250!!

Yep...I have a Siemens C35i (coz it was the only decent one I could find for under 100!!!)

The main reason I have it is so that if I go out while the kids are at school and one of them has an accident or something, the school can get in touch with me.

i've an 8250... but it isn't as great as it's cut out to be... funtionality's basically the same as the 8210 only with the blue screen heh...

if anything's good to get it'd be the new 8310... "you'll want one"

By the way, what has the 8850 got that the 8250 hasn't got - apart from the appearance?

I've had about 5 chances to get a phone in the last year, but the hell if I want one. I just don't like them, mind you, I like playing the games on Nokia phones, but if I hear one more damn loud ringtone followed by 'HELLO?!? I'M ON THE BUSSSSS' I am gonna flip.

I have old trustworthy Nokia 6150. I have dropped it accidentally to the floor couple of times. Sometimes the phone just turn's itself off without any warnings.

I think it is WAP. Not sure though.

I've got a few lying around, but currently use an 8210 with a dual sim battery pack.

I had a Sony J5 but got annoyed with it because it doesn't have IR, although it is probably still the sexiest phone on the market (and Sony have just brought out new models -- STILL WITH NO IR!! Are they stupid or something!?)

i had an alcatel that i used to literaly throw around, we played tennis with it instead of a ball (didnt hit the ground, just bats) played soccer (on the ground... kicking it propperly) and used to skim it along the ground at a tree trunk and watch it fly into a wall...
amazingly the phone NEVER broke... that is upuntill we put it under a friends car (RX3) and did a burnout on it... boy did it fly!

has to be the STRONGEST phone i ever had... nokia`s are crap phones... (build wise) but they have excelent menu system, and personalisation features. (just goes to show the importance of usability and a few gimmicks)

it's much lighter lol... i don't think there're any killer features the 8850 may have which the 8250 doesn't

    The difference!

    the 8850 is WAP enabled.
    the 8210 and 8250 arent

    8850 has metal casing
    8210 and 8250 have plastic

    8250 has blue screen
    8210 has green
    8850 has white

what i want is the new one... 8310!! everyonewants1
mmmm Yumm!... even has FM radio!!
(i think they just about release a phone a month)

by the way all nokia`s upto the 8250 have crap screens... they start fading after a few months to a year (depending on use) and then go blank.

Have a working (and most used )3210 - fully customised, vibrating and sexy as hell. Have 2 Nokia 502's, and plan on treating myself to a Z7 as soon as it's released/for christmas:

I had Sprint PCS. Samsung SCH-3500. I cancelled because their service sucks and I get dropped signals constantly. They don't stand by their products even when they are under warranty. I cancelled a month and a half ago and cancelled my contract. I figure I'll get a couple bills paid down then I'll pick up a set of Nextels...one for me, one for the little woman. I like the i1000.

    motorola? anyone?

Guess I'm the one here who is using motorola here.

That's my baby, Motorola L718, been using it for more than 2 years. When it came out, it was the world's first GSM Tri-Band cellular phones. Can operate in GSM 900, 1800 or 1900.

Lost it once, but found it back.

Nokia 5110 which I don't use, and a Nokia 8210 which I do use and didn't have to pay for

I like all the features of the 8-series (IR etc). But the buttons on the keypad are too damn small. And I get the feeling they're pretty fragile.

I know someone who dropped an 8210 32 floors. It didn't work again

well the smaller the phone, the smaller the buttons..
and they arent really a fragile phone... they feel it because there light but theres no moving parts in them so droping them shouldnt have to much effect, apart from the screen wich are dodgy.
