How do you become an AOL Certified Merchant?
I've seen several small and large e-commerce sites that are "AOL Certified Merchants"
I've scoured the AOL site, the AOL Corporate site, AND the AOL/Time Warner site... and still can't find out where or how to become a certified merchant.
With the traffic that AOL gets, it would definately be beneficial to become a certified merchant, and be listed in their "shopping" category. You would probably also get a "keyword" link from within AOL... like "AOL Keyword 2BigFeet"
If anyone has any information on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I couldn't find any information on actually joining the program. You might want to call AOL and ask to be forwarded to an office that handles such things. From a quick glance at http://www.aol.co.uk/info/shopping.html , I assume it has something to do with advertising with AOL as well.
Some articles I found through Google:

I went to AOL Keyword: Certified Merchant - and it took me to this page: http://aolsvc.shopping.aol.com/shopp.../guarantee.adp . It mentions something about meeting merchant guidelines and such. I don't directly see anything about becoming a merchant, but if you do some digging I'm sure you'll come up with something.

If I recall correctly from a press conferance I attended for a merchant, it basically entailled paying AOL alot of money for advertising, cobranding, and certification.
Also, most of the AOL/TimeW owned companies are automatically AOL CertMerchs.Brian Poirier
