Well, I've been thinking of this plan to get traffic, but I'm really doubtful of the whole idea since most of my ideas always fail. In fact, I've already found a possible failure of the plan. See, my idea is to entice people to join my community by offering what most people want to see, activity.

I'm planning to open up a di gg community using the software pligg on a domain with a decent pagerank. My plan is giving backlinks to each person who posts links to five articles and comment and di gg ten other posts where people have posted articles to. Note, this will be done at the very START after the site launches. Actually, it'll be done after I create myself five phantom accounts to ignite the site.

Here's my problem. What happens afterwards? I just opened the site and the only traffic I get is from the people I give backlinks to. No one else knows about this website. It will just be a steady climb of increasing posts and comments, then, all of a sudden, there will be no more since nobody knows about the site. It will all be a waste of time. The time with the activity is when most members would want to join, right? So, how would I get tons of visitors in such a short time? I will probably go to di gg itself and create a di gg about it, but what if that fails? The thing is, I don't have time to just sit back and watch, that's how most of my other plans have failed.

Read this if you are too lazy to read everything above:
I've found a way to get mucho activity on my site, but it's only for a short time. I need the best method to get as many visitors as I can during this period because visitors LOVE to see a robust site. This activity will entice them to sign up rather than an empty website.

Sorry for the D-word bypass.
