    Display images at X framerate

    Hey guys!

I don't post on the javascript forum much, because I don't program in javascript. I do most my programming in PHP and I recently designed a script to grab an image everytime it is updated. The images are checked, to see if they exist in the directory, and if not, are added. So in the end, I will have a series of images.

I want to know use a simple (javascript?) script to go through the directory (or an array of the filenames) and display them at X images per second.

    Is this possible?

Thanks, sorry for my lack of javascript experience.

You can not read the content of a folder with JavaScript (unless you are IE developing an IE only solution and want to scare your users with security dialogs). What you could do though is to generate a JavaScript array with PHP.

The JavaScript Array would contain the image urls

I can use php to grab the images and create the array.

I just need javascript to go through them and display them at an interval X. PHP does not have this capability. Actually, you could do it with PHP using pauses, but I think javascript is a better solution.
