    it's there

It's been there for 2 days. I'm posting this reply with it

It's just a beta, and LOTS of page rendering problems occur, especially here on SPF. It still doesn't apply CSS on form elements, still won't make a textarea 100% wide.

The good thing is the possibility to open windows on the desktop while still using tabs inside them, like Mozilla does now. However, while there is a button to open a tab (a missing thing in Moz), there's no button to close a tab (it is there in Moz) and you have to resort to right click menu.

A funny thing is that they are the first big commercial product that proposed me to see webpages in Corsican ! But they then tell me I got to download language files, and there just isn't any language file for 6.0 on their download page.

Yeah, from what I hear it's mostly a cosmetic update as the unstandard DOM is still the same and all. Ah well, at least they're trying

According to the new features list, it still only has partial support for CSS2 *sigh*

I like the way you can FINALLY get rid of the MDI. I like having only one window with no tabs. Tabs annoy me

When you use the multi-windows mode, there's no way to open a link in a tab -> very bad point !

Renegade, have you seen just what kind of weird things are in CSS2 ? There's no way a browser is ever going to support complete CSS2 (for CSS1 it's possible because it's all visual stuff).
Then again, I've tested some CSS2 examples that went well on Opera6 and Mozilla, but left IE6 to shame.

What do you mean there's no way any browser will ever fully support CSS2? Sure there will be -- give them a couple more versions. It'll be here.

mmmmmmmmmm I am using Opera 6 to write this. I must say, this is a very very nice browser. If most of my sites render correctly, and I don't have any major probs with it, I might just leave IE forever! muhahahah

    Definately worth checking into.

One of the options in the preferences menu, is to disable popups. I haven't tested this yet, but am very excited about it.
