odd IE bug

I came across this odd bug when I was working on css/html for one of my clients. Would anyone be able to tell me what the cause is?

on other browsers, everything looks fine but on IE6 (win), it shows big white block in the middle of left column and shifts stethoscope image. I even tried negative margin and IE only margin but it just hides portion of image instead of moving it further. Thank you.

That's odd, it's looking fine to me.
